Introduction

Introduction

Welcome to CryptoBotly’s step-by-step tutorial.

We recommend that you carefully read the tutorial if it’s your first time using Botly. You will need to adjust several settings on your bot. You will learn how to use your bot and use the best possible settings.

You can also learn about each configuration by hovering over the “?” icon next to the box in the bot portal.

Info:
You can use Botly with Binance, KuCoin, or Bittrex. Make sure to insert your API Key in the Exchange page to unlock all exchange features.

First recommended actions:
Open the navigation menu on the left of your screen (or top on mobile devices), click Interface > API Page, and enter your API Key and API Secret.

– API Key and API Secret are provided by your exchange. These keys can be found in the Account / API section of your exchange settings.
– Remember to enable the trading permissions for the API on your exchange. You can disable the withdrawal option if you’d like.

Once the permissions are enabled and the keys are provided to the bot you can proceed to the next step.

Next recomended actions:
– On Binance, be sure to always have enough BNB to pay your trade fees and don’t forget to enable the PAY FEES WITH BNB on Binance – it is required. You’ll be notified in case of low BNB balance.
– On Bittrex, you can use your Bittrex credit by going to (Menu > Interface > Bittrex Credit) page, but it is not required.

– On KuCoin, you can use your KCS by using the setting on the KuCoin exchange, but it is not required.

Use the FAQ (Menu > Help > FAQ) if you have more questions or Contact Us.

BNB Trading Fees & Bittrex Credits

Binance:
It is necessary to pay the trade fees in BNB on Le-TRADER, in 3 steps. Here is how to activate the trade fees in BNB:

1. Activate this option on your Binance account: Use BNB to pay transaction fees.
2. Buy 1 BNB (using Binance or your bot, it does not matter), this 1 BNB will be dedicated to the payment of trade fees
3. (optional) On the bot: go to Interface > BNB Fees : If you want to trade in several markets and keep some BNB to pay the fees on other markets, you can use toggle the option on this page.

Bittrex:
To use the Bittrex credits, go to (Menu > Interface > Bittrex credit) page and select YES on the select box.
Now, buy your Bittrex credits and it the bot will use the credits on all others trades.
Use caution however: if you don’t have enough Bittrex credit and the option is enabled, no trade will be executed.

Markets & Balances

CryptoBotly is compatible with the following markets:
– BTC
– ETH
– BNB
– USD
– KCS
– USDT

You can trade all 6 at the same time.
Here are some important facts about markets on CryptoBotly:

Main Balance:
Your Main Balance is in Bitcoin (BTC). Everything on your wallet is converted to BTC and added to your main balance.
The Main Balance is visible on all pages at the top.

Secondary Balances:
Secondary balances are the balances of different markets in your portfolio. You can see your profits / losses on different markets in addition to the main balance.
Secondary balances include the amount of base pair + all open orders linked to that pair.
Secondary balances are visible on the top of the home page.

Example of secondary balance:
– The first balance (BTC) include all the orders on the market BTC (ex: BTC-LTC, BTC-WAVES, …) + all your BTC available on your wallet (unlike the main balance which is also in BTC, this secondary balance does not include others markets).
– The second balance (ETH) include all the orders on the ETH market (ex: ETH-LTC, ETH-WAVES, …) + all your ETH available on your wallet

Indicate the reference amounts:
Go to your Interface > Interface configuration page. In the Reference block, specify the reference amount. These will be used to compare your balance to see the total profit / loss.
You can also add a FIAT reference amount (USD or EUR) for your main balance.

Now choose the markets you want to trade on:
Go to the signal configuration page (Menu > Signals) and check the markets in the Markets box.

Once done, go to the final introduction step.

Create & Configuration

Welcome to the end of the Introduction.

Create your own general bot configuration in (Menu > General Bot Configuration) page.

  • All signals use the same configuration on (Menu > General Bot Configuration). However, you have one more configuration page for each signals provider with even more functionality: (Menu > Signals). Do it after general bot configuration
  • You can return to the (Interface > Interface configuration) page if you want to make some changes to the bot interface. (lang, timezone,…).
  • Don’t forget to click the “?” icon on all sections, in both bot and signals configuration page to get more info about a feature.

The next part of the tutorial will describe each feature of the bot in detail.

Functionality Information

Take Profit

This feature allows you to place your sell orders at a fixed price. Once this price is reached the position will be sold. The order is placed in advance.

Enter your percentage in the Take Profit section.

Amount

This is the amount the bot will use for placing buy orders. It can be a fixed amount or a percentage. To use a percentage: add a % to the end of your input without a space.

You can choose a different amount for each market (ETH, BTC, BNB, …).
If you do not have enough to trade with this amount, you will be notified with an error message.
It is also possible to use a specific amount for each signal providers.

Timer

Use your timer to cancel a buy order not executed after a certain amount of time.
You can see when the timer is used in the log page.

Stop Loss

Automatically sell a coin if the price reaches your loss control percentage.

Example:
If you want to sell a coin when the price drops by 3%, enter 3 as the value.

Loss control is always enabled. You can choose whether or not to use loss control when your bot is off.
If you do not want to use your loss control, enter value such as  80.

Maximum Number of Simultaenous Orders

Select the maximum number of orders open simultaneously. This applies to all markets. Once this number is reached the bot will wait for an open slot to trade again.
It is possible to set a specific different number of open orders for each signal providers.

Trade Same Coin Again

Allow the bot to trade a coin only after X hour(s). When the value equals 1 in your advanced configuration table, the coin is ignored.

You can choose to check the buy rate before buying the same coin. If the rate is lower than the last trade, the coin will be ignored.

Whitelist

The bot will only trade the coin present in the whitelist. All the others will be ignored.
The whitelist is the same for all markets.

Blacklist

All coins in this list will be ignored. The bot will never open an order for those coins. The blacklist is always active and is the same for all markets

Stop Buy

Count the hits of the loss control in a set time to trigger the stop buy function.
When the stop buy function is enabled, the bot will cease any purchase until the hit count of the loss control is lower than your selected value.

You can see the number of hits in your duration in th  stop buy section (page config).

Orders Expiration

Choose a deadline to cancel / sell your positions after a certain time.

This is also logged in your log page.

Minimum Trading Price

Select a minimum price to prevent trades when you have a low satoshi count.

Example:
If you input 0.001 into this field, all coins cheaper than 0.001 will be ignored. Input 0 to disable this feature.

Dollar Cost Averaging

Position: All your orders for an individual market.
Targets: Create your own targets to create a new buy order when a coin price is dropping (up to 20 targets).
Quantity: Select the quantity to use when a target hits (based on the base quantity).

Additional Info:
– To disable the DCA script, use 0 as target 1.
– Use only digit characters as targets and quantity. You don’t need to use negative symbols for the targets.
– Stop loss is based on your average buy rate. It is possible to use your general stop loss or a signal provider stop loss.
– The bot will use your auto sell value or trailing value to place the sell order when a target hits for all DCA orders. If you use a take profit value from a signal provider, the bot will use the signal provider take profit value for all DCA orders .
– When the DCA status is ‘active’, monitoring is on. When DCA status is ‘inactive’, no more buy orders will be placed for the this position.
– If a target hits but your max open orders is reached, the DCA script will be in standby mode until a new open order slot is available.
– The average buy rate is always re-calculated on all sell/cancel actions.

Manage all your DCA positions by using the Action Menu on your open order table (dashboard):
The targets, quantity, and stop loss values are copied on all new DCA position opened from this configuration into a temporary configuration. Then, you can edit it without editing your general config.

– Show all info such as: DCA status, open order list for the position, average buy rate, signal provider, base quantity, current profit/loss for the position and more.
– Edit the stop loss value, edit the targets (edit, remove or add new ones), disable the DCA to not place any more buy orders.
– Create new orders for the position using only 3 values: quantity, take profit, price (show more info about this features on the related block in the action menu on your dashboard).
– Sell the position: Cancel all orders for the position and sell all the quantity at once using the current bid.

Create a manual DCA position by using the Action menu on your open orders table in your dashboard and get access to the same features as if the DCA script was on.
